The Company Ö & Co organization was created in November 2022 by Farah Viotty, Peggy Oulerich, Denis Mancuso and Stephen Winkel with the objective of allowing the whole population to have access to art and culture. Through several partnerships, since its creation it has offered courses, choreographic workshops and artistic performances for different kinds of events.

After starting its actions with teaching classes and a show, the association is now wishing to go into direct contact with those with limited access to culture. It has recently launched grant applications to offer workshops in priority neighborhoods of the island. The idea is to “develop hybrid formats that combine initiations and shows to bring art and culture to the neighborhoods”, Farah Viotty, the president of the association, explains. These workshops will be led by local artists, but also by people coming from the rest of the Caribbean. “We want to develop partnerships to bring dancers and send some of our dancers to other territories", the president explains.

If dance is for the moment the heart of the organization’s actions, the latter is aiming to promote “art and culture in the broad sense”, Farah Viotty says. In order to “make them visible and accessible to more people”, the organization is seeing something bigger and hoping in the long run to “benefit from an artistic and cultural place to exchange and learn”.

NOT-TO-BE-MISSED!

The choreographic workshops of Peggy Oulerich are presenting their end-of-year show on May 10, 11 and 12 mai at the La Chapelle theater.
