Laugh Till Belly Burst: 2 nights of laughter

The Laugh Till Belly Burst Comedy Show is back for its 16th edition on April 5th and 6th at the Aleeze Convention Center. Five renowned comedians from the Caribbean and the United States will tickle your zygomatic during two exceptional evenings.

2019 edition

Since 2004, Laugh Till Belly Burst has been the go-to place to laugh in St. Maarten. This event, aimed at both locals and tourists, attracts an audience from all over the Caribbean thanks to its carefully selected set of renowned comedians. The St. Maarten people will remember in particular the 2014 flagship edition that hosted the American stand-up comedian, Eddie Griffin.

Glen Brooks, organizer of the event, has been campaigning for years to spread laughter on our island. “We are a touristic island. The laughter, the smile on people’s faces, the Friendly Island, that is who we are. We must cultivate this well-being and bring more laughter to the island,” he said, while recalling the positive impact of laughter on health.

Despite the crises, Laugh Till Belly Burst has never stopped and will return to provide well-being on April 5th and 6th with its 16th edition sponsored especially by Port St. Maarten Group of Companies. The Aleeze Convention Center will feature five “totally different styles” of laughter: Fancycat by Jamaican duo Ity and Fancycat returning for the first time solo; Allan ‘D’ Entertainer from Trinidad and Tobago, a “very dynamic comedian who takes up space on stage”; Kelly Kellz from Atlanta who will bring her “uninhibited American touch”; Marc Trinidad from Toronto and his “more intellectual humor”; and finally, King BeauBeau, “our calypso king”, accompanied live by the Apple Sugar band.
