After two years of absence, the unmissable cultural event of the Mardis de Grand Case is back to celebrate its 20th anniversary starting January 31st. Every Tuesday night, during three months, the Grand Case boulevard is going to celebrate with stalls, concerts and parades.
More motivated than ever, the Calypso Event organization is reviving one of the island’s most iconic events after two years of absence. This unmissable cultural and festive rendezvous, which takes place every Tuesday night for three months on the Grand Case boulevard, has been gathering tourist and locals for many years. In partnership with the Tourist Office, the Collectivité of Saint-Martin, the Saint-Martin Carnival and the SXM Festival, the Mardis de Grand Case are celebrating their 20th anniversary. An opportunity for the organizers to think big with a special anniversary photobooth and parades with dancers and musicians with different themes every week. Different local artists will also come to host parties every Tuesday.
This year, the event is aimed to be part of an eco-friendly approach. Recycling bins and dry toilets will be set up on the boulevard. Reducing plastic waste will also be emphasized. Organizers are inviting environmental organizations and companies to register and to participate in the Mardis de Grand Case to raise eco-responsibility awareness.
