The nightlife interview of DJ Classy D

Every month, a personality from the world of culture gives us his/her favorite addresses and best tips for an evening out. This month, it's DJ Classy D.

A place to have a drink with friends

"District 721, good vibes, good food, but above all an exceptional Head Bartender, Raymond Rivera."

District 721, Welfare Road, Cole Bay

A place to please your taste buds

"When I want to go to a good restaurant, I am rather a meat guy. So, I would say JAX, the best meat on the island and by far, or L'Atelier. Otherwise, for a good Italian restaurant, Buenanotte."

JAX,1 Rhine Road, Maho

L'Atelier, place du village, Orient Bay

Buenanotte, District 721, Welfare Road, Cole Bay

A place to party

"The Boom Boom nightclub, it’s the nicest night club of the island according to me regarding its atmosphere, setting and show. You feel comfortable there."

Boom Boom nightclub, District 721, Welfare Road, Simpson Bay

A place to dance

"Boom Boom again!"

A place to enjoy sunsets

"I’m torn between Mullet Bay and Happy Bay. But I would say Happy Bay because it’s quiet, few people think about going there, and I live right across! It’s my little haven."

A place to listen to live music

"Nowhere Special. It’s friendly, there is a good selection of live bands. It’s completely focused on live music and I think it’s great, it gives great opportunities to lots of artists. And there is also my great buddy Roxsy, who is an exceptional singer with her band."

Nowhere Special, 88 Welfare Road, Simpson Bay

An event not-to-be-missed in July or August

"The 721 Festival of course. There will be a stellar line-up of very different artists, Jamaicans, Americans, from the Caribbean… and a grand finale with lots of celebrities on a single stage at the Carnival Village, including Fat Joe, Mavado, Kalash and C Kay. It’s rare to have so many artists on the same stage."
